Michael is originally from Tampa, Florida and moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue a professional skateboarding career. Things did not pan out as hoped, but he developed an interest in engineering thanks to a community college math teacher and a summer internship at a motorcycle shop. He completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Davis in 2020, while working as a student shop technician in the original ESDC. In his spare time Michael is still skating at a high level, building motorcycles, and exploring the California countryside with friends.
